Woman Pet Sitting Dog Has To Dress and Act Like Grandma or He Won't Eat - Newsweek

A granddaughter's dedication to watching her grandma's dog quickly went viral with over 15.2 million views.

Rebecca, known on TikTok as @its.that.rebecca.girl, told her grandmother she would watch the dog while she wasn't home. She would feed him and take him outside for bathroom breaks, which didn't sound like too difficult of an ask originally. However, she quickly learned the dog wasn't going to listen to her. He was a grandma's boy and that's it.

She was getting "desperate" and nervous that he wouldn't eat. Thankfully, Rebecca came up with a plan on how to trick the dog into thinking she was her grandmother. All it took was a quick outfit change. The October 1 TikTok video showed Rebecca wearing all of her grandmother's clothes from the cowboy hat to the socks. She walked the walk and talked the talk, successfully tricking the dog into thinking it was his owner.

She called for the dog in a voice mimicking her grandmother and the little dog followed suit. Although, he showed his suspicions, sniffing her as she led him to the door. He must've known it wasn't truly grandma, but at least he still listened.

The caption reads: "I looked just like her."

The TikTok clip left viewers in stitches, amassing over 2.4 million views and 8,458 comments by Friday.

"He's probably thinking why is she so fast now,'" said a viewer.

Another pointed out: "Not the hunch walk dedication lol.

A third person commented: "Tracy's like, 'Where were you? I was looking all over for you!'"

Several people demanded to see the real grandma and Rebecca obliged by posting a separate clip comparing her grandma letting the dog out to how her imitation looked. The consensus was Rebecca nailed it. Some said they couldn't tell the difference.

Someone asked in the comment section whether Grandma was laughing when she saw the video or not, which Rebecca confirmed she was but she was also thankful for how many people saw the video.

Her grandma explained in a follow-up video that her dog Tyson was put down earlier in the year. She went on to share more about Tyson and how he acted like a therapy dog for her husband who had cancer. She was thrilled so many people wanted to know more about her and her beloved dog.

"I think it's a blessing y'all went viral. He knew Grandma needed people to tell his story she probably wanted to share about her precious fur baby," a TikTok user said.
