From the perfect pair of jeans to cozy cardigans, these transitional clothing pieces will carry you through the season while keeping you feeling confident and put together. Meister spells out the basics every woman should have in her closet for the autumn to keep her looks timeless!
A button up top is the ultimate layering piece for this fall season. Wear them over top of a graphic tee or crewneck top for an extra layer or wear tucked in with jeans or dress pants for a classic work-wear inspired look. We love a denim chambray shirt for fall, including this button-down shirt from maurices.
A clean style without rips or distressing makes them extremely versatile and the boot or flare cut creates an elongated leg for a very slimming silhouette on any body shape. Pair them with a dressy top and heels for a night out or complete the outfit with a pair of boots and jacket for a casual fall look. These flare mid-rise jeans look stunning on women of all ages. If you prefer high-rise jeans, those are a great choice too!
Mules are perfect for slipping on quickly when on the go, low heel for comfort, and they can easily be styled with dresses or denim for the perfect comfy fall look! We love these Autumn clogs from Naot. They come in so many stylish fall colors and feature a anatomic cork and latex footbed that’s ultra comfortable.
Miranda Priestly might think so, but florals aren’t just for spring! Add pops of color and pattern into your fall wardrobe with dresses and jumpsuits in bold patterns. Florals are a great way to add more color into your fall wardrobe, perfectly mimicking the changing leaves.
One of the biggest fall trends this season is a vest. Denim or tweed vests in a longline silhouette are a great fall layering piece paired with denim or leggings. Vests like this khaki option are also a great transitional piece because they can be worn over a sleeveless top, long sleeve top, dresses, or a t-shirt giving you many options when styling.
Varsity-inspired, cable knit sweaters are making a big statement this fall. They are so soft and comfy plus; they look great paired with an a-line skirt or denim. The sporty girl trend from spring and summer with continue into fall with preppy and varsity inspired wardrobe pieces.
